Certificate of No Impediment

When organising a wedding outside of the UK you may require your Birth Certificate and a Certificate of No Impediment  to be issued with an apostille. The certificate of no impediment is issued by a government registry office (the registrar) and confirms that there have been no objections to your proposed marriage.

For couples getting married abroad this often means that you will need to get an apostille on the birth certificate and the certificate of no impediment for both the bride and the groom if they are UK citizens.

To order the apostille simply send us the registrar copies of the birth certificate and certificate of no impediment and we will arrange for the apostille in 3-4 working days. It is not possible to process photocopies so please only send your original certificates.
